Semarang (07/23), the first Indonesian Bibliometric Conference, was held. This conference results from a collaboration between the Undip Library Science Study Program, ISIPII (Indonesian Association of Library and Information Science Scholars), and Kongkow Librarian. This conference lasted for two days with the Library Science Study Program, FIB Undip as the host. The event opened on (27/07/2023), at the Horison Antawirya Hotel, Tembalang, Semarang.
KOBAIN became an interesting event with the presence of speakers and experts in the field of bibliometric analysis. Four interesting speakers were presented on the first day to provide in-depth insights into bibliometric analysis.
Prof. Sulistyo Basuki opened the conference session as the first speaker with an inspiring presentation on the importance of bibliometric analysis in research. Followed by Heriyanto, Ph.D., who presented an impressive presentation on applying bibliometrics in research applications. Besides that, there is Dr. Adi Wijaya, S.KM., M.Kom, who explained the in-depth reasons why bibliometric analysis is needed in research. The first day of the conference was closed by Ms. Yaniasih S.TP., M.P., who shared the findings of a new matrix from her research using bibliometric analysis in a recent thesis.
