Semarang (21/11/2024) – Digital literacy is an important skill for students, through community service activities carried out by students of Library and Information Science, Diponegoro University, it is able to improve the ability of SMAN 4 Semarang students to understand and use technology wisely.

On this community service occasion, Library and Information Science students presented material related to digital literacy and its impact in students’ daily lives. In addition, students were also given an understanding of digital security, including how to maintain privacy and avoid risks such as online fraud. The ethics of using social media was also the focus of the discussion, where students were taught to be responsible in interacting on related platforms.

This activity was closed with a question and answer session, providing an opportunity for students to share their experiences and ask questions related to the material that had been presented. One of the students, named Fara, said that every Tuesday at school they always do digital literacy and then the results are written in a journaling book.

Thus, through this activity, it is hoped that the students of SMAN 4 Semarang can become wiser and more critical users of technology, and be able to better face the challenges of the digital era.
