In 2020, Minister of Education and Culture formalize a new curriculum which is more flexible and makes the students are able to take course based on the needs in the work world. This policy was made because of there are higher education alumnae who couldn’t get job that is suitable with what they have learned in university. Based on the policy, Minister of Education and Culture created a new curriculum and it called as Kampus Merdeka Curriculum.

Diponegoro University as one of higher education in Indonesia who always support every of the government’s policy, started to do their movement to do the policy by giving instruction to all of the study programs in Diponegoro University to arrange the Kampus Merdeka Curriculum. As an effort to support the campus’ policy also Minister of Education and Culture, Undergraduate Library Science Study Program Degree held a Curriculum Workshop with the goals:

  1. Evaluating the Curriculum 2017’s strength and weakness
  2. Revising and doing modification Curriculum 2017 as Kampus Merdeka Curriculum 2020. Workshop was held virtually with the Webex media for the first day and Microsoft Teams for the second also third day

First workshop was held on Saturday, 2 May 2020 with the speaker Dr. Wina Erwina. She is the head of Association Higher Education Library Science and Information Indonesia Organizer)

The second workshop, which was held on Saturday 9 May 2020 with the speaker and alumnae. The speaker was Dr. Hartono, S.S., S.Hum (Expert Librarian of National Library RI)

From the alumnae, Arief Delta Riswanto, S.Hum. (works as First Expert Librarian Library and Information Services Centre, National Library RI) and Dicki Agus Nugroho, S.Hum. (works as Librarian of Tidar Magelang University)

Another workshop which was held on 10 May 2020: Framing the Kampus Merdeka Curriculum 2020 by the lecturers of Library Science Diponegoro University based on the speakers’ advice.
