HMPS Ilmu Perpustakaan — Cabinet for Synergy HMPS Ilmu Perpustakaan has carried out the Libs Discussion Series #3 work program on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 09.30 – 11.40 WIB offline at the Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Libs Discussion Series #3 carries the topic of discussion, “Employment: Unemployment”. There are two discussion sessions in Libs Discussion Series #3. In the first session, participants discussed “Employment: Unemployment” in general, then proceeded to discuss case studies around the G20 Sherpa Track. The case studies in the Libs Discussion Series #3 include the following: 1) Data Leaks; 2) Increase in fuel prices; 3) Sexual Harassment; and 4) Net Zero Emission.
Libs Discussion Series #3 is a continuation of the Libs Discussion Series #1 and #2. Libs Discussion Series is the flagship work program for Strategic Studies which aims to hone problem solving, critical thinking, and public speaking skills for the 2022 Library Science HMPS management. from various generations.
This work program is carried out in the form of Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and there are group divisions with the same discussion material and different case studies. In each group there is a moderator who becomes the discussion leader and an assessor who assesses the participants’ abilities from the aspects of communication, leadership, participation, initiative, critical thinking, teamwork, and discipline. The results of the discussion were presented by representatives of group members and there was feedback given by the Chair and Deputy Chair of the 2022 HMPS Ilmu Perpustakaan, namely Nitzana and Muhammad Fairuzulhaq.
It is hoped that Library Science students will be able to improve their soft skills and build familiarity in a study program and be sensitive to the problems that are happening around their environment so that they can take roles and provide solutions.
