LENTURE 2025 #1: Reviving Literacy in Village

Day One – Thursday, 6 November 2025. The Library Live in Nature (LENTURE) program is a community service initiative conducted by university students as part of their commitment to advancing literacy and strengthening community empowerment in rural areas. The program was implemented over three days, from 6 to 8 November 2025, and involved a series of activities engaging the organizing committee, local residents, and school communities in the designated village and hamlet.

The first day commenced with an internal briefing and preparation by the committee. The event was officially opened with remarks delivered by the Head of the Committee, the Chair of the Student Association, and the Advisor of HMPS IPI, followed by a collective prayer. A symbolic lanyard installation and documentation session marked the formal departure to the activity site.

Upon arrival in Tolokan Village, the committee unloaded the necessary materials and began the primary tasks of the day. Activities included the enhancement of human resources and the improvement of the village library collection, the establishment of a Reading Corner, and training for local library managers. Concurrently, other teams conducted weeding and shelving of book collections, prepared inventory lists for the school library, and distributed donated books. The first day concluded with rest, a communal dinner, and a brief evaluation session.
