HMPS Ilmu Perpustakaan — Gelora Bersinergi Cabinet of HMPS Ilmu Perpustakaan has implemented a work program, namely Libs Discussion Series #1 on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:00 – 11:30 WIB online through Microsoft Teams. Libs Discussion Series will be held three times in one session. In the Libs Discussion Series #1 we raised the theme, “Be Ready for Media Literacy Challenge” to match our majors and discuss issues around libraries and information. It includes the following sub-themes: 1) Information Overload; 2) Information Literacy; 3) Hoaks: Fake News and Disinformation; and 4) Digital Literacy.
The Libs Discussion Series is one of the leading work programs under the responsibility of the Strategist Studies Division to train critical thinking and public speaking skills for the 2022 HMPS Ilmu Perpustakaan management. As the name implies, this work program is in the form of a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in which there will be group divisions and discussions according to the shared sub-themes. During the discussion, it will be led by a moderator and supervised by an assessor. During the discussion, the assessors assessed the participants’ abilities from the aspects of communication, leadership, initiative, critical thinking, teamwork, and emotional control.
Through the Libs Discussion Series #1, it is hoped that the management of the HMPS Ilmu Perpustakaan 2022 can develop their soft skills and become a medium for exchanging ideas. Thank you to the management of the HMPS Ilmu Perpustakaan 2022 who have participated in this activity and actively participated in the discussion. Hopefully by adding to this discussion can add insight to the participants.
