Semarang (3/24) Management of the School Library has a strategic role in motivating students to improve their literacy skills. This effort was captured by The Applied Bachelor of Information and Public Relations (Inhum) to carry out community service collaboration with the Bachelor of Library Science (Ilpus), by empowering students who had done internships.
Al Fikri Middle School librarian, Mrs. Manda with representatives of Inhum students (Nada) and Ilpus students (Ulin) accompanied by the In-house manager (Mrs. Iin) conducted a service survey.
The pioneering collaboration began with a survey to find problems in management, which began in early January, followed by collection inventory, classification, and labeling for one week.
Manual steps were chosen as the start of management which will later be followed up in stages leading to digitalization, according to the explanation from the study program manager. (iin)
