Diponegoro University’s Faculty of Humanities Visits University Kebangsaan Malaysia to Establish Partnership

Malaysia November 18, 2025 – the Faculty of Humanities of Diponegoro University paid an official visit to the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) to formalize a new collaboration aimed at advancing education, research, and community service.
As a leading university, ranked 126th in the world by the QS World University Rankings 2026 and 24th in the QS Asia University Rankings, the Faculty of Humanities of Diponegoro University (Undip) is exploring various collaboration opportunities between the two parties.

The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, M.Hum., and Yuli Rohmiyati, Ph.D., as the Undip Faculty of Humanities delegates, were warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Mohd Suhaimi Mohamad, marking an important step in strengthening the relationship between these two prestigious institutions. The main discussion focused on the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that paves the way for a variety of collaborative endeavors.

Representing the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Vice Dean for Industry and Community Networks expressed strong support for this partnership, agreeing to a framework that will provide opportunities for student mobility, specialized short courses, internship programs, joint research projects, and community service activities.

This partnership emphasizes a shared commitment to academic excellence and mutual growth, enriching the experience for students and faculty members while meaningfully contributing to community development, both nationally and internationally.

Both faculties look forward to implementing a Letter of Intent to precede the collaboration before a Memorandum of Agreement and exploring innovative initiatives that foster cross-cultural exchange, enhance educational quality, and broaden research horizons. This is seen as an important milestone in building a sustainable academic network that benefits all stakeholders involved.
